Fruit and Vegetable Rescue Boxes

In the winter semester 2025/2026, Restlos e.V. will again be selling fruit and vegetable rescue boxes in front of the main entrance to the X building. Restlos e.V. offers fruit and vegetables that are sorted out by wholesalers and retailers mainly due to external blemishes; social projects are carried out with the revenues from the sale.
This semester, the distribution period has changed minimally: it is now always on Tuesdays from 12:30 pm to 2 pm.
The distribution campaign took place for the first time at the university in the winter semester 2022/23 as a trial run. It was piloted at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in the Summer semester of 2022.
Both the university and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences want to set an example against food waste by supporting the campaign as part of their sustainability efforts.

A rescue box, which contains about 7 kg of fruit and vegetables (partly in organic quality), costs 16 €.
2€ deposit for the box or alternatively about 1 € for a cloth bag for the transport of the food.

vegan bags
In addition, a vegan bag can be purchased for 5 € which buyers can assemble themselves on site from healthy products from the Restlos assortment (such as oat milk, oat cream or smoothies).

1. pre-order
Pre-order by 10 a.m. the day before at www.restlos-retterbox.de
Lists are also available on the sales days to order for the following week.
2. collection
The boxes can be picked up on the respective Tuesday between 12:30-14:00 in front of the main entrance of the X building.
Spontaneous purchases are also possible - first come, first served.
3. payment
Payment is made in cash.
NEW: Bonus system
This year, Restlos e.V. is continuing the bonus stamp card, which is handed out at the first collection. For every Restlos box (classic or mini) you receive a stamp.
